HS2 threat to Adelaide Rd nature reserve

The image above shows the scale of the proposed ventilation shaft. The structure is 5 storeys high, but will appear as just 2 storeys from Adelaide Rd, due to the sloping off of the land down to the railway. CLICK on the picture to see it full scale for a better view.

Residents’ relief at planning victory

On Thursday evening at the Town Hall local residents and conservationists scored a stunning victory over plans to build a pair of modern 7-bedroom town houses in the heart of the Belsize Conservation Area. Following an energetic campaign by Belsize residents, Camden’s planning committee threw out the plans by a unanimous vote.
